PeopleTec is currently seeking an AI / Software Engineerto support our Huntsville AL location.
PeopleTec is looking for a talented Junior to Mid Level AI/Software Engineer to join our innovative fast-paced forward-thinking team! You will participate in the design development and deployment of scalable high-performance software solutions. Experience is required in emerging fields like Artificial Intelligence (AI) Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) Model Context Protocols (MCPs) and Large Language Models (LLMs). Experience is desired in modern technologies such as TypeScript Express Python FastAPI and React. Duties:
- Integrate AI capabilities including MCPs LLMs and RAG pipelines into software solutions.
- Develop APIs and backend systems using Python and FastAPI.
- Build and maintain scalable web applications using TypeScript and Express.
- Research and apply the latest advancements in AI to solve business challenges.
- Create responsive and dynamic user interfaces with React.
- Optimize applications for performance scalability and maintainability.
Qualifications
Required Skills/Experience:
- 2-7 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience with AI/ML technologies particularly in RAG MCPs and LLMs.
- Understanding of system design distributed systems and architecture.
- Exceptional problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with GitLab for code repositories and pipelines
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative environment composed of Government Prime Contractor Support Contractor and other Government agencies/personnel.
- Candidate must be confident in his/her ability to work across a vast organizational structure to effectively communicate complex technical issues.
- Travel as required (estimated 10%).
- Must be aU.S. Citizen
- An active DoDSecretclearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have an activeSecretclearance upon hire and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelors in STEM field.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with all or some set of TypeScript Express Python FastAPI and React.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and participation in agile teams with experience in sprint planning and backlog grooming.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Azure or Google Cloud).
- Proficiency in database technologies (SQL and NoSQL).
