Occupational Therapist (LTC/SNF) Travel Position
Location: Longview WA

Pay: $1955/week
Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapist to join a skilled nursing and long-term care facility in Longview WA on a travel contract. The Occupational Therapist will evaluate residents design individualized therapy plans and provide interventions to enhance independence mobility and quality of life. The ideal candidate is patient-focused adaptable and experienced in geriatric rehabilitation.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct evaluations to assess residents functional abilities cognitive skills and therapy needs.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary staff.
- Deliver therapy interventions including ADL retraining strengthening mobility exercises and adaptive strategies.
- Educate residents families and caregivers on therapy goals safe practices and use of assistive equipment.
- Document evaluations therapy sessions and progress notes accurately in compliance with facility and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with physical therapy speech therapy and nursing staff to ensure coordinated patient-centered care.
- Support residents independence recovery and quality of life through evidence-based occupational therapy practices.
Qualifications
- Masters or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current and valid Occupational Therapist license in Washington (or compact license).
- Minimum of 1 year of recent OT experience preferably in LTC/SNF settings.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
- COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.
- Strong assessment documentation and communication skills.
- Compassionate and resident-centered approach with experience in geriatric rehabilitation.
