Junior Data Scientist

Division: Group Digital Capabilities (GDC)

Within the GDC Division the AI center of excellence supports the needs on data science/machine learning from all the entities of the Euroclear Group. As a competency center for analytics the team helps to transform data into insight using techniques such as natural language processing predictive modeling mathematical optimization or network analytics.

Your role

AsData scientist you will create innovative solutions that rely on data science/machine learning and experiment new technologies to bring value to Euroclear as a data and insights-driven company.

In order to reach these objectives you will:

• Manipulate structured and unstructured data sources and conduct data analysis using sophisticated analytics techniques to produce valuable and practical output within the amount of time dedicated to the use case.
• Deliver the insights through enhanced data visualization applications.
• Actively contribute to the evolution of machine learning at Euroclear in terms of insights software techniques
• Contribute to maturing new insights (products technical components ) whether as proofs of concepts or as actual developments that are meant to become part of our production toolkit.

You have or will acquire

• A good knowledge in Python Scala and Spark.
• A good knowledge of analytical techniques such as machine learning NLP network analytics or mathematical optimization
• An experience with command line tools (UNIX) and version control tools like GIT
• Some knowledge in relational database querying (SQL) or in data collection and transformation (ETL)

No work experience is required. Any relevant practical experience in the domain (e.g. thesis internships) is an asset.

Will be considered as a plus

• A good command of Python
• Knowledge of the Hadoop ecosystem (Cloudera distribution of Hadoop will be a plus)
• Knowledge of AGILE development methods such as SCRUM
