We areseekinga dynamic and experienced professional to serve as a key consultant and technical advisor within our organization as a Technology Administrator (Project/Program Manager III). In this role you will support cross-functional interdepartmental systems across a broad range of public safety technologies. You will lead the effective use and management of critical software solutions that support the department.
We are specifically looking for acandidatewith a broad and in-depth understanding of DAJD policies who can apply that knowledge to ensure technology solutions align with department-wide practices andobjectives.

DAJD is part of the Executive branch and includes five divisions with more than 900 budgeted employees. The departmentoperatestwo adult detention facilitiesthe King County Correctional Facility (KCCF) in Seattle and theMalengRegional Justice Center (MRJC) in Kentas well as the Juvenile Divisions secure detention at the Clark Children and Family Justice Center (CCFJC) in Seattle.
About the department:The Department of Adult and Juvenile Detention (DAJD) is a professional and nationally recognized organization that supports safe vibrant and healthy communities in partnership with other criminal justice and human service agencies. DAJD operates the largest county jail system in the State of Washington.
Departments Mission:We provide in-custody and community-based services that are data informed advance safety lead system change and promoteequitableoutcomes for the people we serve.
The job description is an overview and is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
Serve as a consultant and technical advisor across all levels of the organization supporting cross-functional interdepartmental systems spanning a range of technologies.
Drive the effective use expansion and management of public safety software solutionsas well astools for training appraisals backgrounding scheduling and policy management.
Expand and maintain DAJD training resources using tools such as Adobe Captivate(or similar tools)to create and update trainingsguidesand simulations.
Provide mid- to senior-level end-user support including system administration (e.g. backupjail management systemadministrator duties) issue resolution vendor escalation documentation and in-person training.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to analyze DAJD technology systemsidentifybusiness process improvementsleveragingtechnology andprovideoperational insights that inform vendor roadmaps and support change management. Regularly review existing systems and procedures to drive continuous improvement.
Leadprojects andproblem-solving initiatives with internal and external stakeholders to ensure system plans and activities align with agency needs. Develop and implement recommendations for improved work processes policies and procedures and ensure effective implementation.
Evaluate the effectiveness of change management processesand adjustto ensure alignment with programobjectivesand agency goals.
Participate in product evaluation and testing to support enhancement rollouts software patches and new releases.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum of five (5) years of full-time experience in a corrections or jail environment.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience implementing administering or supporting business software solutions in a large organization.
Proven experience developing and delivering training plans and supporting large-scale change management initiatives.
Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to clearly conveyand distillcomplex information and document processes and procedures effectively.
Proven ability to coordinate work across multiple stakeholders manage competing priorities andmaintainstrong organizational skills in high-volume environments.
Demonstrated leadership and collaboration skills with a service-oriented mindset and a focus on driving change and continuous improvement.
Analytical skills to research data and propose actionable solutions.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Advancedproficiencyin Microsoft Office 365 and experience working in SharePoint/Teams environments.
Highly Desirable Qualifications
Two (2) years of experienceworkingwith NEOGOV products.
ExperiencewithAdobe Captivate or other simulation-capable training development tools.
Proficiencywith Microsoft Dynamics 365.
Experience managing complex projects from initiation to completion.
Experience applying continuous improvement methodologies to drive results.
Comprehensiveknowledge of DAJD policies and procedures.
Familiarity with DAJD legacy systems: SIP/SeaKing JIMS and ComCor.
Cross-division work experience within DAJD.

WORK LOCATION/SCHEDULE:The DAJD Administrative teamoperatesunder a hybrid model combining remote work with onsite presence. While telecommuting is part of the work structure the expectation is that this position will need to be onsite morefrequently at locationsacross allfive DAJD or King County facilities to support various projects and business needs. The balance between remote and onsite work will depend onevolving requirementsand King Countypolicy andis subject to change accordingly.
The primary onsite work location for this position is the King County Courthouse at 516 3rd Avenue E 245 Seattle WA 98104.
Employees mustresidein Washington State and within a reasonable distance of their King County worksite to ensuretimelyresponse to workplace reporting and onsite work requirements.
Employees will be provided with a County-issued laptop and when working remotely mustmaintaina reliable internet-connected workspace where they can perform duties efficiently and remain available and responsive during scheduled work hours.
The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; however schedule assignments may vary based on departmental staffing needs and where applicable the bargaining unit bidding process. This position is exemptunder the provisions ofthe Federal Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) meaning that it is not eligible for overtime pay or compensatory time accrual and the incumbent willbe requiredto work the hours necessary to meet position responsibilities.
