We are currently recruiting for a 12-month fixed term contract paralegal to join Hogan Lovells Investigations White Collar and Fraud (IWCF) team in Singapore. Applicants should have a formal legal qualification and/or several months of paralegal experience. Newly Singapore qualified lawyers are welcome too.

Our award winning Litigation Arbitration & Employment (LAE) practice is a global litigation powerhouse that gets the best results for its clients. From risk analysis to crisis management and from representation in a single court to advice in a multijurisdictional cross-border dispute we have the answers every step of the way.

The IWCF team is part of our LAE practice group. According to Global Investigations Review 100 (GIR) we are One of the worlds best investigations and white-collar practices. Our award-winning team handles all issues relating to enforcement whistle-blowing criminal liability regulatory violations tax investigations and asset recovery. We pursue and defend claims against executive boards and we craft internal programs and policies that comply with global legislation such as the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and the UK Bribery Act. Local matters often give rise to international legal risks and investigations. Our team handles cross-border work including in offshore jurisdictions. And we know what it takes to deal with such issues having teams established in China Europe the Americas Africa and the Middle East.

SCOPE OF THE WORK

Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Review and proofread legal documents
  • Conduct legal research and analysis
  • Help to draft and review advise and other documentation/correspondence relevant to client matters
  • Provide support on Business Development proposals
  • Provide support to other lawyers within LAE and surrounding practice groups

REQUIREMENTS

  • Formal legal qualification and/or several months of paralegal experience. Newly Singapore qualified lawyers are welcome too
  • Enjoy working as part of a team and have strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Have an aptitude for analysis and problem solving
  • Extremely organised ability to prioritise and manage workload
  • Strong English proficiency both verbal and written (proficiency in other languages is an advantage)
