Job Summary

Technician Assistant

Department: Emergency

Location: Oakville ON

Mississauga-Oakville Emergency Department is currently welcoming a dependable and outgoing Technician Assistant to join our clinic. This full-time opportunity includes a range of responsibilities which directly contribute to the efficient and effective daily operation of the department. Our emergency department provides thorough training to all new staff members including a mentoring program to ensure the success of all new team members!

Caring for our patients; feeding walking and offering a gentle voice of assurance
Ensure animal housing or enclosure is clean sanitary and comfortable
Create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for patients and pet parents
Excellent customer service skills; a real aptitude for putting pets and pet parents at ease and creating a welcoming environment
General housekeeping duties
Willingness to learn more regarding veterinary services and updated medical procedures
Compassion and a nurturing attitude
Ability to remain calm in stressful situations and maintain a high quality of care in a busy environment
Ability to adapt to changing situations
Working with a team focus assisting the veterinary staff with various procedures tasks and treatments

Schedule: This position may consist of daytime evening overnight and/or weekend shifts.
