Are you a compassionate leader with a passion for empowering others The Virginia Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services (DARS) is seeking a dynamic Human Services Manager to lead a dedicated team in our Christiansburg Office.
Job Duties:
In partnership with people with disabilities the DRS Field Rehabilitation Services Division assists individuals with disabilities to make informed choices that will maximize their employment through coordinated service delivery. DRS staff will assist the Workforce Network to deliver quality workforce services to individuals with disabilities who want to work and employers seeking to hire them.
We are seeking a Human Services Manager with a primary focus on the achievement of employment outcomes and enhanced independent living for adults and students with disabilities directs and manages all programmatic and administrative functions to ensure efficient and effective daily operations of assigned DRS field offices providing comprehensive vocational rehabilitation services to a designated geographic area of the state within established policies and procedures.
Provides direct supervision of assigned customer service delivery and support staff. Ensures responsible management of assigned fiscal resources. To meet the expectations of the Counselor Manager position the incumbent must have access to personally identifiable and confidential information about agency consumers and/or agency staff.
