Job Summary:
This Registered Nurse position in a Trauma ICU requires providing skilled nursing care to critically ill patients. The role involves patient assessments medication administration treatment planning and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. Experience in acute care and specific certifications are required. Floating to other units within the facility is mandatory.

Responsibilities:
- Providing direct patient care in a Trauma ICU setting.
- Performing patient assessments administering medications and developing treatment plans.
- Collaborating with physicians other nurses and other healthcare professionals.
- Monitoring patient vital signs and responding to changes in patient condition.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Floating to other units within the facility as needed.
- Participating in unit-based activities and initiatives.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of two years of recent acute care experience in an ICU setting.
- BLS ACLS and NIHSS certifications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Bachelors degree in Nursing.
Special Considerations:
- This is a mandatory float position; nurses will be assigned to different units within the facility as needed.
- Shift work is required (3x12s 7p-7:30a).
- Every other weekend and two weekends per month are required.
- A maximum of five days of requested time off (RTO) are allowed with no more than two consecutive days. No RTO is permitted on weekends holidays or the day before or after a holiday.
- The first week will consist of orientation and precepting on the day shift.
- Must live within 75 miles of the facility.
Scheduling:
- Three 12-hour shifts per week 7 pm to 7:30 am.
- Every other weekend and two weekends per month are required.
- Shift assignments are determined by facility needs.
