Job Title: SAP S/4 HANA Data Migration Consultant

Summary:

Client is in crunch time with a major Bluefield migration to SAP S/4HANA (RISE Private Cloud) targeting a January 2026 go-live. They are struggling to close out Mock Data Conversion #3 in time for UAT and urgently need 1 2 senior Data Migration Experts to augment their existing team. The ideal consultant will act as the gap filler between PwC s highly technical migration team and business users who lack deep SAP data structure knowledge. This role requires a balance of hands-on data migration expertise master data best practices and strong functional/communication skills to help ensure clean validated and business-ready data conversion

Key Responsibilities

Lead and support final mock data conversion activities and UAT-ready migration cycles.
Participate in final cutover validation and post-year-end historical data migration (January 2026).
Serve as a translator between technical teams and business stakeholders explaining functional impacts of data migration choices.
Provide best practices for master data domains (Vendor Procurement SCM Finance/Accounting Project/Asset data).
Identify define and enforce data rules/transformations (e.g. vendor master record governance: duplicate prevention tax ID requirements address quality).
Partner with client teams to build confidence in migration execution and resolve red-flag issues with Mock 3.
Assist with Ariba vendor data synchronization with S/4HANA.
Ensure data migration outcomes align with clean data compliance and functional usability.

Required Skills:

Extensive SAP Data Migration experience (multiple end-to-end cycles preferably S/4HANA/Rise).
Strong expertise with Master Data Management (Vendor Material Procurement SCM Finance).
Experience bridging the gap between technical migration SMEs and functional business teams.
Hands-on experience with mock data conversions validation reconciliation and cutover.
Ability to define and enforce data transformation rules without heavy ETL reliance.
Knowledge of Ariba integration/vendor network highly preferred.
Strong communication skills able to explain complex data structures and functional impacts in plain business terms.
Exposure to SAP ecosystem (Ariba Concur SuccessFactors).
Experience in Bluefield migrations (selective data migration).
Team lead experience or solution architect experience.

Work Site: Remote / Milestone travel to San Diego CA

Duration: 4 months
