Job description
We are looking for a candidate who will be responsible for Finite Element Analysis (FEA) activities using Nastran/Opti-struct/Abaqus solver and Hypermesh/ Simlab/ Hyperview post processors and support knowledge development projects. Your mission will be to support new product development for FEA activities & assist in FEA knowledge development at Global Engineering Center India Airpower. You should have very high penchant for engineering analysis and analytical work.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
You perform advanced FEA analyses for a wide range of applications and close collaboration with your internal client and with the necessary creativity you translate your findings to a performant and cost-effective design. The client is guided by you from the moment you receive the request up to the implementation of the solution.
In all projects a customer focused approach is crucial. You are able to analyze the clients problem and assess if he needs a simple hand calculation or a more complex FEA simulation. It is your task to select the most efficient and accurate solution strategy to tackle the job.
Components analyzed include compressor/pump frames rotors housings etc. Types of analyses include linear static non-linear and dynamic calculations.
You should have field failure or lab test to FE results correlation experience using FEMtools.
You remain up to date with the latest developments in the field of CAE/FEA Domain. You identify opportunities to improve and/or expand our calculation models and tools. And together with your colleagues you introduce these improvements in our processes worldwide and develop the Static structural and dynamic competence domain in Atlas Copco.
