Job Title: Lab Technician
Client: Medical Device Manufacturing Company
Location: Minneapolis MN 55432
Duration: 1 Year (with possibility of extension)
Shift: 1st Shift Onsite

Position Overview

We are seeking a Lab Technician I to support sterilization equipment maintenance data analysis and validation activities within a regulated medical device manufacturing environment. This role requires technical lab experience strong analytical skills and the ability to follow strict SOPs and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Sterilization Activities

Operate and monitor sterilizers (autoclaves vaporized hydrogen peroxide ethylene oxide etc.).
Prepare and load samples for sterilization cycles following established protocols.
Ensure compliance with sterilization parameters safety standards and documentation requirements.

Technical Support & Maintenance

Perform routine and preventive maintenance on sterilization and lab equipment.
Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions and deviations.
Assist with calibration inspection and repair of lab instruments and sensors.

Data Analysis & Reporting

Record observations perform calculations and collect data for evaluation.
Analyze testing results using tools such as MATLAB Python or Excel to trend cycle performance and identify anomalies.
Create and maintain technical reports protocols and SOP-compliant documentation.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Support microbiological testing and environmental monitoring as needed.
Partner with engineers and technicians to improve processes and product quality.
Participate in validation and qualification activities for lab equipment and processes.

Qualifications & Skills

Diploma or Associate Degree in Engineering Technology Applied Science or related field.
3 years of lab or manufacturing experience (sterilization experience strongly preferred).
Familiarity with microbiological principles and sterile techniques.
Proficiency in MATLAB Python Excel or similar data analysis tools.
Strong attention to detail and documentation skills in a regulated environment.
Ability to follow SOPs work independently and communicate technical information clearly.
Basic knowledge of laboratory techniques test instruments and regulated lab systems.

Physical & Work Requirements

Onsite role 1st shift.
Must be comfortable working in a lab/manufacturing environment.
