Sovah Orthopedic & Sports Medicine is seeking a full-time Outpatient Rehab Technician (Mon- Fri) to assist physical therapists in implementing programs established in the department by performing assigned tasks related to patient care under the immediate direction of a licensed therapist or assistant. This includes departmental upkeep clerical duties patient transport and patient care.

How youll contribute

ARehabilitation Technicianwho excels in this role:

• Administers hydrotherapy treatment hot and cold packs according to written medical prescription and under the direction of a physical therapist.
• Assist patients in dressing and moving about before during and after their treatment.
• Assists patients in safe practice of activities related to the development of strength endurance and daily living.
• Assists with ambulation practice of specific patients whose gait patterns have been precisely established by a physical therapist.
• Transports patients courteously and efficiently with sensitivity regarding the patients problems and dignity.
• Assist in checking clients vital signs when needed.
• Provides client/caregiver education re: facilitation of functional mobility and communication.
• Assists in donning/doffing and manipulating assistive devices prosthetics orthotics splints and ADL equipment.

What were looking for
Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent

Additional requirements include:

• Requires critical thinking skills decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

• Heart Saver CPR by the American Heart Association is required.

• Two (2) years of previous experience in a patient care setting are required.
