Job Summary

Dementia and ProfessionalCaregiver Experience Required
All assignments are per diem (as needed)/On Call

Responsibilities:
- Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs such as showering bathing dressing and eating
- Help clients take prescribed medication and assist clients with ambulation
- Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctors appointments walks etc.)
- Assist with personal care and hygiene plan and prepare meals and help with physical therapy exercises
- Complete clients shopping or accompany them to successfully do so
- Perform housekeeping duties and report any unusual incidents
- Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
- Assisting patients with their meals including preparing cooking and serving
- Assist patients in all other activities that are essential for daily living
- Enter all care notes into company application
- Any other tasks as necessary
Qualifications:
- Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
- Prior experience as a professional caregiver or in healthcare environment hospice in-home care group home
Personal Care Assistant - 2 years professional experience is REQUIRED
- Must have training and on the job experience with dementia patients Hoyer lifts safe transfer skills and hospice
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with physical capability to perform job-related duties
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation for every shift (this requirement does not apply to live-in caregivers however we do prefer that you have a valid drivers license)
- Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
- Available to work different shifts including nights and/or weekends
- Willingness to enforce health and safety standards
- Supportive and compassionate
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Personal Care Assistant current license
- Take pride in providing high quality care
- Ability to passpre-employment and random drug testing
- Must complete all Covid-19 training and follow protocols put in place
