The Role:
bestchance Child Family Care is currently seeking an exceptional individual with a positive and proactive approach to join our passionate and supportive team at the Noble Park Childrens Centre. This role requires someone who is prepared to provide assistance in all aspects of running the centre.
We have an interest based childrens focus in our rooms and we are looking for a like-minded passionate Centre Coordinator who wants to make a real difference in the lives of children every day. This is a Part-Time role of 24 hours per week.
Reporting to the Area Manager you will demonstrate:
- experience in supporting a kindergarten program and long day care program for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years desirable
- Bachelor of Education or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent)
- Previous experience in leading a service providing high-quality education
- A sound working knowledge of:
- The National Quality Framework (NQF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
- Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYDLF)
- The principles of strength based community engagement and community strengthening
- Family centered practice and how it applies to the operational and strategic delivery of early years services
- Long Day Care programming and planning for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years old
- Self-motivated with high level interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to manage own workday be flexible and responsive to changing work practices
- Demonstrated ability to develop support motivate and manage staff to reach their potential
- The ability to work effectively and collaboratively with a team who have diverse levels of experience and qualifications
- Knowledge and understanding of the Reggio Emilia Project Approach and other contemporary early years influences an advantage
- Demonstrated commitment and ability to maintaining an up to date understanding of the latest and most respected early childhood theories and practices in long day care and kindergarten environments
You will stand out if you:
- Holds a minimum qualification of Diploma of Early Childhood Education & Care
- Hold a current First Aid & CPR training (including anaphylaxis and asthma training)
- Have completed up-to- date Mandatory Reporting training
- Demonstrate knowledge or experience of delivering inclusive practices in an early childhood setting
- Have the ability to build meaningful relationships with families
- Demonstrate knowledge or experience of upholding child safety requirements
- Demonstrate capacity to develop relationship with children
- Demonstrate reflective practice
- Current Working with Children Check (Employee)
- A satisfactory National Police History Check
