Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Lead Architect for Research Cloud Computing to work in our Scientific Computing & AI Division. Our team works a 9x80 schedule located out of our Idaho Falls facility with every other Friday off.
The Scientific Computing & AI Division leads research into the application of AI & data-driven design techniques towards accelerating the design and construction timelines of advanced energy projects as well as optimizing operations with the energy industry. The division focuses on changing the way project personnel author and manage engineering data building digital engineering ecosystems to connect this data and leveraging emerging software technologies to increase intelligent automation across the project lifecycle. This group consists of engineers and scientists with backgrounds in both traditional engineering disciplines (mechanical civil etc.) and software development collectively committed to securing our energy future by eliminating repetitive and time-consuming tasks currently bottlenecking engineering construction and operational workflows.
Responsibilities Include:
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelors degree in in Computer Science Software Engineering IT or Systems Engineering and 9 years of relevant experience. Masters and 6 years of relevant experience.
Extensive experience in cloud-based solutions and cloud infrastructure.
Experience with DevOps pipelines and continuous integration / continuous delivery (CI/CD).
Specific knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g. Microsoft Azure AWS).
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance which requires US Citizenship.
