What youll be doing:
As the National Health and Safety Manager youll lead the development and delivery of health and safety strategy across multiple data centres ensuring full compliance with UK legislation and fostering a proactive safety culture. Youll conduct risk assessments site audits and incident investigations while driving continuous improvement in safety performance.
Youll work closely with engineering facilities and IT floor teams to embed safe working practices manage contractor compliance and deliver targeted training programs.
Your role will also include shaping emergency response plans overseeing vendor safety standards and contributing to the strategic roadmap for health and safety across critical environments.
This is a key leadership role for someone passionate about creating safe compliant and high-performing workplaces.
Please note this is a 6 month fixed term contract.
We want to hear from you if you:
- Have proven experience in a health and safety management role ideally within data centres engineering or construction environments.
- Have successfully managed health and safety across multiple sites and understand the complexities of technical operations.
- Hold a NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) and ideally have IOSH Chartered membership.
- Have a degree in Facilities Management Building Services Engineering or a related field.
- Bring previous experience as a regional or national manager in technical operations or facilities.
- Have a strong grasp of UK health and safety regulations including CDM permit-to-work systems and engineering-specific risks.
- Are analytical with a keen eye for identifying and mitigating hazards.
- Are an excellent communicator who can influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Are highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
