About the Role:
Amazon Interactive Video Service (IVS) is an AWS service that allows developers to easily leverage the low-latency highly-distributed live video platform that powers Twitch in their own services. The IVS Console is the primary interface through which customers configure monitor and manage their IVS resources including channels stages ingest endpoints playback settings chat features and analytics.
As a senior frontend engineer on the Twitch Video team you will build elegant responsive and highly functional web interfaces that empower developers broadcasters and businesses around the world to deliver low-latency interactive video experiences.
You will work with our Video Engineering Team from Vancouver B.C.
You Will
- Design and develop user interfaces for the IVS Console using modern web technologies
- Work closely with UX designers product managers and backend engineers to deliver seamless customer experiences
- Own end-to-end development of features: from design and implementation to deployment and monitoring
- Advocate for frontend best practices including testing performance optimization and maintainable code
- Collaborate with other AWS service teams to integrate shared services and deliver a consistent AWS Console experience

- Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as AWS CDK or equivalent technologies
- Hands-on experience with frontend testing frameworks such as Jest and Cypress
- Solid understanding of Git workflows and version control best practices
- Familiarity with Amazon IVS APIs and concepts
- Experience with Backend service development
- Exposure to WebRTC technologies for peer-to-peer video and audio communication
- Experience with live streaming or real-time media using JavaScript or TypeScript SDKs

The base salary for this position ranges from $150700/year up to $251700/year. Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
