Job Description
Do you have a background in managing global programs for energy Are you excited to work on the worlds largest cloud computing infrastructure Are you passionate about making an impact in sustainability and energy industry
The AWS Global Energy Team is looking for a talented individual to own high-impact carbon free energy program across Amazons global data centers and other infrastructure. This role will support powering our operations with Carbon Free Energy as part of our goal to reach net zero carbon by 2040 by owning development of programs and products that deliver insights to drive decarbonization.
The specialist will work collaboratively with stakeholders from AWS Infrastructure teams to facilitate strategy execution drive process improvement projects and support business development initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and organizational
skillsets with a passion for producing high quality work. This position involves direct contact with senior leaders and business partners. A successful candidate will have a professional demeanor and be able to communicate effectively with people at every level both internally and externally.
Key job responsibilities
Manage Amazons global carbon free energy procurement programs across business units
Support design of innovative energy strategies to minimize cost risk and enable CFE
Drive process improvements to streamline execution of energy procurement activities
Design metrics for energy programs globally by collaborating with senior Energy Procurement Managers Finance business partners and senior
leaders
Lead development of reporting insights which distill complex data into actionable insights to drive business strategy

Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) in Energy/Engineering/Information
Science/Management or similar field
3 years in program or product management role
Proven experience diving deep into data existing processes people and systems in order to simplify complex processes
Proven track record partnering with business owners to understand requirements developing analysis to solve their business problems and collaborating cross-functionally to deliver results
Masters or MBA in related field
2 years of experience working in the energy utilities renewables or sustainability industry
Proven experience leading initiatives related to renewables or sustainability projects power procurement infrastructure development or
data center planning
Proven ability to interface successfully with senior leadership suppliers and customers

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $107300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $177400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
