The position offers CalPERS pension retirement comprehensive health benefits tuition reimbursement a flexible work schedule generous paid time off and a parking allowance. Salary:$85k - 95K (DOE). Location: Downtown.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of audit experience working with government entities.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop analyze and monitor operating and capital budgets
- Prepare financial forecasts and variance reports for executive leadership
- Conduct internal audits and risk assessments across programs and departments
- Ensure compliance with federal local and state financial regulations
- Support external audit coordination and documentation
- Recommend process improvements to enhance financial controls and reporting
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field (CPA or CIA preferred)
- 2 years of experience in budgeting auditing or financial analysis
- Strong grasp of public sector compliance and reporting standards
- Proficiency in Excel ERP systems and audit tools
- Exceptional analytical communication and organizational skills
