Our client a government entity offering flexible work arrangements (every other Friday off) is seeking a Budget&AuditAnalyst to join its dynamic Finance team. This organization provides significant opportunities for growth and direct access to its leadership team.

The position offers CalPERS pension retirement comprehensive health benefits tuition reimbursement a flexible work schedule generous paid time off and a parking allowance. Salary:$100K$125K (DOE). Location: Downtown.


The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of audit experience working with government entities.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop analyze and monitor operating and capital budgets
  • Prepare financial forecasts and variance reports for executive leadership
  • Conduct internal audits and risk assessments across programs and departments
  • Ensure compliance with federal local and state financial regulations
  • Support external audit coordination and documentation
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance financial controls and reporting


SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field (CPA or CIA preferred)
  • 2 years of experience in budgeting auditing or financial analysis
  • Strong grasp of public sector compliance and reporting standards
  • Proficiency in Excel ERP systems and audit tools
  • Exceptional analytical communication and organizational skills
