You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailDIS Stockholm is currently hiring an external lecturer to teach the course Thermodynamics. The course starts in January 2026 and course preparation is expected in winter 2025. The course is offered every spring term (mid January to mid May) and every fall term (mid August to mid December). Course load for each term includes 23 lectures (80 minutes each) and 2 field studies in the Stockholm region (4 hours each) per term plus student assessment grading and feedback.
Thermodynamics deals with the interplay between heat temperature energy and work. It is instrumental in the design of a multitude of engineering applications from crafting efficient engines and regulating heating and cooling systems to designing chemical reactors and bioreactors. Moreover it is at the core of how living organisms operate.
This course will cover fundamental concepts of thermodynamics first law second law properties and behavior of pure substances closed system and control volume analyses. Youll gain an understanding of scientific concepts and their practical application in engineering design. The course will conclude with an exploration of engineering systems such as refrigeration and heat pump systems.
