Job Summary

As the Maintenance Group Leader you are responsible for operations maintenance and repair of plant equipment. You may oversee amedium size group of employees in a skilled area of work. Work requires the ability to make decisions based on established procedure.Work is of a technical nature using independent judgment within the limits of GMS; focusing on Safety People Quality ResponsivenessCost and Environment (SPQRCE). Use of independent judgement.

LEVEL EXPECTATIONS:
An execution focused leader of operational/hourly represented team members supervising the team to ensure that tasks are completed
satisfactorily.

EXPERTISE
- Understands and follows established processes in their area and knows how to use systems and technologies to accomplish work
assignments. Typically has practical working experience in all processes within their area.
- Provides instructions to direct reports on course of action and serves as a resource for them on standardized work quality standards andprocesses within the area as well as relevant company policies and procedures.
- Works under moderate level of supervision. Collaborates effectively with more senior members of the team seeking guidance andabsorbing knowledge to address and solve issues.

COMPLEXITY
- Carries out designated routine tasks ensuring timely completion. Errors in decision-making or failure to achieve desired outcomes mayresult in schedule delays. Consistently meets unit targets as scheduled.
- Offers direct supervision to a unit or team of employees. Addresses and resolves any issues faced by team members proactively mitigatesconflicts to prevent escalation and assigns tasks while closely monitoring progress at regular intervals.
- Proactively anticipates needs of the areas managed by consistently training and rotating team members to ensure that there is nodisruption in the execution of work.
- Engages in daily interactions with subordinates and/or peers from other functional groups. These interactions typically involve the exchangeor presentation of information.

SCOPE AND IMPACT
- Handles a range of moderate scope problems that are frequently routine but may vary requiring analysis of various factors. Utilizesjudgment within established procedures and practices to determine the most suitable course of action. Follows through on difficult situationsand is expected to see through resolution.
- Proposes new initiatives and leads the delivery of solutions driving cross team efforts. Recommends opportunities for processimprovement to leadership & proactively anticipates needs within own area.
- Builds relationships with team members and provides resources to them when needed. Ensures that the team managed is set up forsuccess and approaches resolution to conflict equitably and objectively.
- Employees impact is typically within their immediate work area and occasionally across their function.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- You will conduct appropriate checks and tests and communicate evaluation of results
- Recommends solutions to problems
- Responsible for preventative maintenance and diagnosis of equipment malfunctions
- Meets schedule and quality requirements
- Complies with the terms of local and national labor agreements
- Implements divisional and corporate policies and safety and good housekeeping practices
- Maintain frequent contact and collaboration with others outside of the work group
- Responsible for the effective use of personnel material and equipment
- Establishes a course of action to accomplish completion of the job and/or project. Has knowledge and ability to implement GMS principles
