Purpose of Position
This is a part-time non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.
This position is to assist the College of Engineering Mechanical Engineering in maintaining a well-organized and uncluttered lab space. Engineering Faculty and Students require lab supplies and equipment to be in good working order clean and well-organized. This will save valuable time and frustration when working on lab projects.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining the machining welding and woodworking lab spaces located in Upson I.
- Duties include sorting and organizing tools supplies and equipment.
- The lab assistant will also help students and faculty with lab projects. Other duties include equipment cleaning maintenance lubrication and helping to manage the inventory of supplies in the labs.
Minimum Requirements
- Familiar with welding woodworking machining equipment and tools.
- Able to work independently
- Successful completion of a Standard Criminal History Background Check
In compliance with federal law all persons hired will be required to verify identityand eligibility to work in the US and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.This position does not support visa sponsorship for continued employment.
