Job Summary

Title: Shift Nurse

Location(s): Hamilton-Hannon

Shift Time : Monday& Friday from 3 PM-3AM Every Other Sunday (12 PM-12AM) with flexibility during summer hours needed.

We are looking for a Shift Nurse (RN or RPN) who is comfortable providing care to our clients. Our next Shift Nurse will thrive in a culture made for caring where being flexible and possessing strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills will drive the success of their role.

This is a positionavailable based out of Hamiltonfor a private client.

What you will be doing:

  • Provide compassionate care tailored to client needs with expertise in managingTracheostomyHeat Moisture Exchange (HME)G-tubes andmonitoring vital signs.
  • Experience workingwithpediatric clientsis required.
  • Support clients living withAutism Spectrum DisorderusingPositive Behavior Supportstrategies.
  • Administer medications and assist withpersonal careroutines.
  • Communicate and coordinate effectively with parents and other caregivers.
  • Maintain a strong commitment tocommunity-based care.
  • Prepare and maintainclient reports and updates.
  • Manage andorder medical suppliesas needed.
  • Build meaningful relationships with clients through empathy consistency and trust.
  • Demonstrate initiative and independence thriving withminimal supervision.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team while beingreliable and self-directed.
  • Approach challenges with aproblem-solving mindset ensuring the highest level ofcustomer service.
  • Prioritizesafetyfor both yourself and your clients adhering to best practices and protocols.

Skills needed for success:

  • You are ahighly energetic and enthusiasticindividual who thrives in adynamic fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptionallyorganized with strong time management skills and the ability to effectively manage your schedule.
  • Excellentcommunication skills bothwritten and verbal allowing you to connect clearly and confidently.
  • Proven ability tobuild strong relationshipswith both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Minimum oftwo years experiencein acommunity careorclinical/hospital settingis preferred.
  • Currently certified as aRegistered Nurse (RN)orRegistered Practical Nurse (RPN)with theCollege of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
  • Certified inStandard First Aid & CPR/AED (Level C).
  • Able to provide acurrent Mask Fit testcertification.
