Location: Ciudad de Mexico Hermosillo (Onsite) Guadalajara (Onsite)
Position Type: Part-Time Internship
Eligibility: Final year Engineering students pursuing a Computer Science Data Science Computer Systems AI/ML or other relevant degrees.
Compensation: Interns will receive scholarship support incentive during their internship. Students may also be eligible to receive academic credit toward a course or program requirement depending on their schools policies.
Role Overview
As an AI/ML Intern at Paystand youll work onsite with engineers and operations teams to make our workflows smarter and faster. This is a part-time role where youll have the chance to:
- Apply AI/ML to real-world challenges.
- Build prototypes and tools that improve productivity.
- Learn from experienced professionals while making a direct impact.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with multiple departments gaining exposure to a variety of business and technical perspectives.
This is a great opportunity for students who want hands-on industry experience are passionate about honing their craft and want to see their ideas come to life.
Responsibilities
- Partner with teams across Paystand to identify processes that can be improved with AI.
- Design and test prototypes that enhance our current tools and systems.
- Work with our tech stack ( JavaScript AWS Kubernetes) to build and integrate solutions.
- Research and experiment with emerging AI/ML frameworks and tools.
- Deliver solutions on time and clearly present your findings to the team.
- Share fresh ideas think creatively and bring a multi-dimensional approach to problem solving.
- Work toward a capstone project that youll complete and present to department leaders during the final weeks (weeks 1011) of your internship.
Qualifications
- Last year Engineering students pursuing a relevant degree (Computer Science Data Science AI/ML etc.).
- Solid understanding of Machine Learning and AI fundamentals through coursework or projects.
- Experience with Python and frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Exposure to our tech stack ( JavaScript AWS Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment meet deadlines and adapt quickly.
- Strong problem-solving skills creativity and confidence to contribute new ideas.
- Excitement about continuous learning and perfecting your craft beyond just school projects.
- Good communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
