The candidate will be part of and work closely with a collaborative team of teachers. An understanding of the BC Curriculum effective teaching and learning practices and a commitment to professional development are essential.

Position will be effective October 01 2025.

The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for assessment and programming for students with communication challenges. This includes students with language based learning needs and speech concerns.

Required Qualifications:
  • Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology
  • Membership in the College of Speech and Hearing Professionals of British Columbia (CSHPBC)
  • Experience working with school-aged population
  • Excellent communication skills to work effectively with students parents teachers and other district staff
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder is an asset
  • Training and experience in the are of Assistive Augmentative Communication Technology is an asset

The personnel in this position are accountable in the execution of their assigned duties to the Director of Instruction - Learning Services. And membership i the New Westminster Teachers Union as an associated professional.

Compensation: Current salary range is $62466.00 to $110833.00 annually plus comprehensive benefits package.
