Job Summary

Position: Travel Pharmacist Oncology

Shift: MondayFriday (must be available for all of the following: 7:00 AM3:30 PM 8:00 AM4:30 PM or 8:30 AM5:00 PM 40 hours per week)

Veterans Engineering is seeking a Travel Pharmacist Oncology to join the team at Berkshire Medical Center. This role offers the opportunity to provide patient-centered care in a multidisciplinary oncology practice setting alongside pharmacists nurses and physicians.Key Responsibilities

Assess patient therapy for appropriateness including age-specific modifications and perform clinical interventions to prevent adverse drug events.
Participate in clinical research and professional development programs.
Provide operational support and educational services at the Cancer and Infusion Center.
Supervise pharmacy technicians and other support personnel.
Ensure compliance with regulations for IV admixtures chemotherapy and sterile product preparation.
Maintain and store adequate medication inventory.
Collaborate with the oncology team to standardize chemotherapy ordering procedures.
Develop and update department and nursing policies.

Submission Requirements

5 years extensive acute care clinical experience Required
Ability to mix compounds Required
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) Required
Completion of ASHP-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency in Oncology Strongly Preferred
Board Certification Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP) Strongly Preferred
Demonstrated ability to work independently within established policy Required
Capable of supervising support personnel Required
Specialty pharmacy medication management experience Required
Traveler must have their own vehicle Required

Certification Requirements

BLS (AHA) Required
Active Massachusetts Pharmacist License Must be in hand at submission
