The Role

Halcyon is expanding our SLED team and seeking a driven Account Executive (North Central) to build and grow our presence across Illinois Michigan Wisconsin Ohio Indiana and Minnesota. Youll own a defined territory working with state and local governments higher education institutions and key public sector partners to drive net-new business.

This role requires ahunter mindset strong knowledge of the public sector procurement landscape and the ability to position Halcyons unique ransomware defense value proposition with technical and executive buyers.

What Youll Do

  • Drive net-new sales across state local and education accounts in the North Central region.

  • Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting discovery solution positioning negotiation and close.

  • Build strong trust-based relationships with government stakeholders and partners.

  • Collaborate closely with Sales Engineering Marketing and Channel teams to execute regional go-to-market plans.

  • Leverage your understanding of SLED procurement vehicles and partner ecosystems to accelerate deals.

  • Consistently meet or exceed quarterly and annual quota.

What Were Looking For

  • 5 years of direct sales experience in cybersecurity SaaS or enterprise software.

  • Proven track record selling into SLED accounts (state local higher ed) in the North Central region.

  • Familiarity with SLED procurement processes (RFPs contracts vehicles resellers etc.).

  • Strong hunter mentality with experience prospecting and closing net-new logos.

  • Ability to engage both technical and executive stakeholders with confidence.

  • Experience working with public sector VARs GSIs and ecosystem partners.

  • Self-starter who thrives in a high-growth fast-paced environment.

In accordance with applicable state and federal laws the range provided is Halcyons reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience knowledge skills abilities and location. Base pay is one part of the total package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives and equity in the Company.
