Additional Job Details (if applicable)
In consultation with the PI Dr. Daniel Polley they will develop data collection and analysis protocols for a new research program focused on rehabilitation of suprathreshold hearing disorders. Their primary responsibility will be in the implementation of new physiological hardware data analysis and the development of backend systems for data management and storage. They will assist their PI in the training and supervision of other laboratory personnel and a variety of administrative tasks as necessary. From time to time they may also be needed to participate in data collection and communication with research participants. This is a hybrid position with flexibility to perform these responsibilities remotely though it is expected that they will work on site an average of 2-3 days per week.
As this position will emphasize the early stage development of a new research program there is no expectation that they will secure independent funding nor that their activities will result in publications or other scientific communications.

Makes strong intellectual contributions to scientific strategies of the group/lab and plays a leadership role by acting as subject matter expert in field.
Contributes to the design and execution of experiments and/or research projects.

May collaborate with external researchers and/or receive external project funding support.
Presents results and prepares publications.
May assist PI in the training and supervision of other staff.
