Job Summary
Electrical Controls Design Engineer - Hybrid
DISHER is seeking an experiencedElectrical Controls Design Engineerto support one of our OEM customers as a contractor. This role involves designing and integrating electrical schematics in compliance withUL 508A standards. You will work with varying levels of customer input from rough sketches and early concepts to more detailed designs and translate those into complete accurate schematic designs and enclosure documentation. The position begins withremote design work followed byonsite testing and installationat customer facilities in Texas. This project is anticipated to run 3-4 months although there is the possibility of additional project work beyond that timeframe.

What you will get to do:
- Develop and integrate electrical schematics in compliance with UL 508A
- Translate customer sketches concepts or partial designs into finalized electrical schematics
- Design and document electrical enclosures including component layout and wiring diagrams
- Generate documentation packages (schematics bills of materials panel layout drawings cutout diagrams etc.)
- Ensure safety process interlocks and controls are properly engineered and documented
- Collaborate with the customer and DISHER engineering team to meet project requirements
- Support testing and commissioning onsite during installation phase
What will make you successful:
- Engineering Degree
- Proven experience in electrical schematic design and integration with a focus on industrial power and controls
- Hands-on knowledge ofUL 508Astandards and compliance requirements
- Experience designing electrical enclosures control panels and power distribution systems
- Familiarity with safety interlocking processes for industrial systems
- Proficiency in schematic capture tools and CAD software for electrical layout
- Ability to work independently with limited guidance while collaborating with engineering teams
- Willingness to travel onsite for testing and installation (after initial remote phase)
