This role is responsible for performing quality tests on materials needed for production at the plant assigning dispositions to unsellable materials creating and reviewing batch recipes in systems and supporting and leading problem-solving investigations and projects for improvement.
What You Will Do:
- Use SAP and FST software to identify non-sellable materials from Joliet Campus.
- Use knowledge of the SOPs material specifications testing methods and production process information to determine and assign disposition of all non-sellable (expired obsolete returned) materials in a timely manner.
- Use knowledge of adjustment theory and practice to determine and assign dispositions requiring rework.
- Perform additional testing and investigation as required to accomplish the above.
- Maintain a clean and orderly 5S working environment performing basic upkeep of both working areas and any laboratory equipment used.
- Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for everyone.
- Create and review batch recipes in the production systems.
- Support and lead problem-solving investigations.
- Use our eQMS (electronic Quality Management System) to log and document quality nonconformances and ensure completion of tasks created in eQMS.
- Promote and lead programs and projects for improvement.
- Train others in the use of standardized processes reports spreadsheets and databases.
- Run effective presentations to key stakeholders in Supply Chain.

- Plant location: Joliet IL
- Work week and shift: 8AM - 5PM Monday to Friday
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Chemistry Biology or related physical sciences field
- Experience in manufacturing environment
- Laboratory skills including some familiarity with instruments like HPLC FTIR GC and AA.
- Experience with using SAP software for data analysis and instrument data acquisition.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office especially MS Word Excel and MS PowerPoint.
- Immigration sponsorship is not available for this role.
Physical Demands:
- This position requires lifting and carrying 50lbs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in Chemistry Pharmacy Engineering Food Science or related field with strong Chemistry component
- Experience in Quality Systemsand problem-solving techniques
- Experience with Supply Chain processes Manufacturing or Quality functions
- Experience with any electronic Quality Management Software and/or in document control management
- Knowledge of quality management systems and standards applicable to the industry (e.g. ISO9001 Good Manufacturing Practices)
- Previous experience with etQ (electronic Quality Management Software)
- Knowledge of MS Power Apps Power BI SharePoint MS Teams
- Project Management experience
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and work on a diverse range of requirements
- Strong sense of ownership and ability to individually plan and execute deliverables
- Excellent communication & presentation skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team

The pay range for this position is $58900.00 - $88300.00. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation such as experience education training geography etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
