What Youll Be Doing
As a Senior Solutions Architect in Enterprise Solution Design you will join CIBCs Technology department responsible for the delivery of technology in support of all CIBC businesses and conjunction with other members of the Solution Design team the purpose of this position is to work with key Business & Technology Partners to deliver infrastructure design and implementation for Technology Operations (TO) and Application Development (AD) projects. These designs include platform selection and sizing data management design disaster recovery solutions high availability design migration approach and other Infrastructure requirements. Additionally the job entails working in partnership with various architecture groups Platform Managers Information Security and Risk management and Engineering teams to design Infrastructure solutions that meet CIBC project implementations the Solutions Architect will work alongside the Project Manager to support design issues. This includes assisting in the integration of distinct products to form the infrastructure in which an application will be installed on. Solutions Architect will serve as a focal point for escalations on major technical issues within the Engineering teams Global Command Centre Solution Centre Application & Infrastructure Support Product and Service Vendors and Application Development. This position also includes the review and creation of proposals in support of business requirements as well as providing infrastructure cost and design estimates and consultation as it relates to application integration.

How Youll Succeed
Infrastructure Design: Youll provide the infrastructure design viewpoint in relation to the Enterprise in selecting technologies to facilitate service integration activities. Youll design solutions that include platform selection and sizing data management design disaster recovery high availability design migration approach and other infrastructure requirements. Youll analyze processes projects and technical risk and estimate project work effort where new technology is involved and where no guidelines may already exist.
Design & Develop: Youll build a solution design that reflects the integration of business logic processes and data mapped to defined business requirements. You will help guide the Solution Delivery Team in the implementation of the infrastructure solution design and in conjunction with other Solution Design team members youll work with key business and Technology partners to deliver infrastructure design and implementation for Technology Operations (TO) and Application Development (AD) projects.
Leadership: Provide technical leadership during the design build configuration implementation and maintenance phases. Continuously evolve your thinking and the way you work in order to deliver your best.
Who You Are
You can demonstrate experience in in all areas of infrastructure with a minimum of five years of related experience with Cloud Windows UNIX Solaris RedHat Linux Database Systems Management Security Network Hardware Storage System utilities application platforms such as J2EE BI products such as Cognos SAS and Informatica.
