Hitachi Rail provides signaling systems for metros and light rail systems. Our solutions provide efficient safe and green transportation solutions for people around the world. Were looking for eligible students to join Hitachi Rail! Hiring for January 2026 through December 2026 (Will also change the duration to 4months / 8 months /12 months)

Objectives:

  • Develop skills and knowledge in a real-world mega project environment.
  • Mentorship: Receive guidance and mentorship from experienced project planning and scheduling professionals.
  • Assist Principal Planning manager and team with Planning analysis and other procedural improvements.
  • Participate in the execution of development projects.
  • Support the development and integration of documentation processes to ensure consistency and accuracy within the department and the organization.
  • Participate in providing project status updates as required.

Accountabilities

  • Assist in developing project plans including timelines budgets and resource allocation.
  • Assist Planning and Project Management team to develop dynamic dashboards and KPIs.
  • Coordinate meetings and facilitate effective communication among project team members.
  • Prepare or file documents related to the project.
  • Collect and collate data to track performance.
  • Conduct research and assist in preparing written documents.
  • Analytical Skills: Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret production data and provide actionable insights.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with complex data and ensure precision in reporting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Required Skills/Knowledge:

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel.
  • Strong data analysis capabilities and knowledge of Power BI considered an asset
  • Demonstrated interest in learning advanced scheduling tools including Primavera P6 and Tilos
  • Junior or Senior standing or enrolled in a Masters program.
  • Must be available to work 40 hours per week onsite.
  • Previous co-op/internship experience is a plus.

Education:

  • The successful candidate should be working towards a bachelors or masters degree from an accredited university in Engineering Business or a related field.
  • Completion of the second or third year of an undergraduate degree or currently pursuing a masters degree is preferred.

Languages:

  • Fluent in English both written and verbal.
