Job Description
F2-Subs Catalog and Discovery team owns product lifecycle systems and processes supporting Amazons subsidiary retail environments. As a Software Developer on our team you will deliver features that enhance customer search and discovery experiences enabling users to find exactly what they are looking for. We own the Product Catalog internal workflow tools that facilitate thousands of new product launches weekly and support critical Tier 1 services that enhance the browsing experience across all platforms.

Key job responsibilities
The ideal candidate is energized by owning Software projects from requirements through to support. We value owners who can partner with customers to design and deliver on challenging problems. They must be detail oriented have good verbal and written communication skills strong organizational skills are able to work independently and can maintain professionalism under pressure.
About the team
Based in Madison WI our team of 10 Software Development Engineers supports Amazon Subsidiaries including Shopbop and Zappos within the Fashion Fitness and Creators division. We develop and maintain mission-critical applications and systems that support daily operations across multiple teams including Creative Photo Studio Catalog Operations and Merchandising. Our data integrates with front-end development teams who manage both native platforms and Amazon Marketplace presence.
- 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2 years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle including coding standards software architectures code reviews source control management continuous deployments testing and operational excellence
- Bachelors degree or equivalent
- 3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and current systems

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
