Courtyard by Marriott managed by Northwest x Southern Hospitality (NSH) is currently interviewing people for an Assistant Chief Engineer/Maintenance Manager!
Summary of position: This position is responsible for assisting management with the planning and execution of the daily activities associated with Maintenance Department activities. This includes but is not limited to all mechanical electrical HVAC systems and related equipment with particular attention to safety guest satisfaction security asset protection and maintaining standards as required. This position is also expected to supervise the day-to-day operations recommend and implement procedural changes and monitor and control expenses.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent GED; degree in hospitality or related field of study preferred
Must have at least 1 or more years of experience in maintenance/facility management fields
Demonstrate excellent organizational skills communication skills and problem-solving skills
Proven customer service experience as a manager; strong guest-focused mentality
Comprehensive knowledge of facility management trades and practices with basic knowledge/understanding of hotel equipment; cleaning chemicals and compounds; proper methods of cleaning/maintaining linens carpets draperies wood marble ceramic tile vinyl tile porcelain and other hard surfaces on the job.
Comprehensive knowledge of skilled trade activities in plumbing carpentry HVAC electrical and mechanical work and painting.
