Description

Puget Sound Pipe is a premier wholesale distributor of pipe valves as well as fittings in the Pacific Northwest & Alaska. We are currently looking for an exceptional individual to join the team as an Expeditor and Logistics Coordinator at our Anchorage AK location. This person would be responsible for communicating with our vendors customers and internal sales to insure the on-time shipment of placed orders. We operate one of the most organized and well stocked Warehouse and Pipe Yards in Anchorage supplying Pipe Valves and Fittings to the Oil & Gas Mechanical Contracting and Plumbing industries.

Hired candidates will be working onsite at the branch location. There is no relocation assistance available.

Expeditor starting at $20.00-$25.00/hour depending on experience.

40 hours a week overtime as needed; Hours M-F 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM

Expeditor Basic Duties:

Check due-dates on new orders placed
Continually communicate with vendors to insure on-time shipments
Communicate information to fellow team members and customers
Cross-Check order acknowledgements and pack lists from vendors for order accuracy
Report information into internal computer system and customer data base
File old/shipped orders accordingly
Complete Excel spreadsheet reports for customer as required
Answer phones and distribute calls
Special projects as assigned

Expeditor Desired Experience/Skills:

Outgoing good communicator with positive attitude
Detail oriented
Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
Motivated and/or desire to achieve high success rate of on-time shipment
Work independently and as a team player
Strong oral communication skills
Excellent customer service skills
Working knowledge of MS Windows and Excel a plus

Requirements

HS Diploma or equivalency
Pass pre-employment drug screen
