We are seeking a proactive and organised part-time Administrator to join our team supporting the Departments of Medicine and Psychological Medicine. As the first point of contact for research students this role plays a vital part in supporting both academic and clinical environments including the Research Committee and Peer Review Committee. It also involves working closely with supervisors and primary researchers to support staff in managing their administrative and clinical responsibilities while remaining mindful of the unique demands and sensitivities of operating within a critical health environment.
You will provide a wide range of administrative support including managing meetings diaries documents and confidential records. This role also manages the Eye Chart Store handling orders and fulfilment and coordinating stock supplies. You are a motivated and self-directed professional with proven experience as a high-performing Administrator dedicated to supporting students and staff. With exceptional organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload you will play a vital role in fostering collaboration and driving operational excellence within a high-stakes research and healthcare context. Key skills for success in this role include:
Previous experience in a busy and/or complex administrative environment
Naturally able to build strong relationships and providing outstanding customer service.
Adaptable and solutions focused committed to continuous improvement.

Divisional Services and Administration is a team of highly skilled professionals responsible for delivering outstanding student and staff experiences through high quality operational management and administrative support services. We are a strong supportive whakawhanaukataka proud of the work we do as the largest workforce in the university spanning every corner of the motu.

This is a permanent part-time role (22.5 hours) based in Ōtepoti Dunedin.
The appointment range for this role at Level 4 is $63508 to $68185. Top of Range $73640 (pro-rata).
We are also seeking candidates for Kaiwhakahaere Tari positions which support the implementation of our Māori Strategic Framework. The salary range for this role at level 5 is $69931 to $74609. Top of Range $80285.
