Job Summary
Rutland Northeast Supervisory Union is seeking enthusiastic innovative and collaborative professional to fill a long-term Special Educator vacancy anticipated to run approximately from November 12 to December 19 note that pay benefits and contract terms will be determined based on the actual number of days worked which will be finalized once a confirmed start date is applicants will have experience as a special educator in a public school setting as well as experience with case management and community engagement. The following qualifications are required:Bachelors Degree with a concentration in special education Must hold or be eligible for a VT Agency of Education License as Special Educator grades 9-12The following are preferred: Demonstrates knowledge of human development including implementation of a variety of delays disorders and disabling conditions for learning and development Knowledge of appropriate procedures and strategies for identifying the needs and supporting the learning and development of individuals with special needs. Ability to consult and collaborate with team membersKnowledge of case management and skills essential to implementation of an effective educational support program Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality in accordance with federal state and RNESU requirementsAbility to communicate effectively orally and in writing with students parents staff and members of the community Knowledge and experience with basic principles of child development effective methods of dealing with children and curriculum and instructionInterested candidates must apply on CraneDirector of Student Support Services
