DescriptionJOB SUMMARY:
Assists with the overall day-to-day operations of a diverse work force in the Environmental Services Department. Ensures cleanliness of casino areas through teamwork.
KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Supervises all cleaning operations and department personnel during assigned shifts.
- Supervises the cleaning and follow up of facilities and equipment.
- Provides and administer all new hire training.
- Maintains key control.
- Involves with the scheduling payroll and inventory and purchasing procedures but not solely responsible.
- Accountable for follow-through with department walk-thru special cleaning projects and the maintaining of department cleanliness standards.
- Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory department and company policies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of one year as an EVS cleaner or equivalent required.
- Minimum two years supervisor or lead experience in EVS/Housekeeping or related field preferred.
- Experience supervising large work teams a plus.
- Must possess strong people skills and problem solving ability.
- Knowledge in computer operation is essential.
- Must have a strong understanding and working knowledge of cleaning chemicals cleaning techniques and cleaning equipment.
- Knowledge of HAZZ COMM and BBP is essential.
- Must be able to converse read and write English.
- Must have flexible schedule and be able to work any day/any hours.
- Must be able to get along well with others and work as a team.
- Must present a well-groomed appearance.
- Must be able to maneuver in and around casino and public areas.
- Must be able to perform the physical duties of line employees in emergencies.
- Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling guest and employee conflicts.
- Must be able to speak distinctly and persuasively to others.
- Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
- Must be able to tolerate areas containing second hand smoke.
