Key Accountabilities:
- Ability to effectively manage time and meet all specified goals.
- Resolves equipment breakdowns to ensure production downtime is minimised. Uses problem solving techniques to quickly get to the root cause of problems and provides effective corrective actions.
- Installation investigation and repair of both single phase and 3 phase circuits.
- Fault analysis of hardwire relay logic motor control circuits motor power circuits (1.5V to 415V 3phase) and common utility / lighting circuits;
- Provides preventative maintenance cover for all production related equipment.
- Installation of new control circuits modification of existing instrument/electrical systems as requested to include design load and Implementation of new control logic;
- Fault analysis of PLC based systems with control logic modification if required.
- Achieve goals to contribute to team department and company objectives.
- Actively participate in Practical Process Improvement/5S/and other continuous improvement/lean projects.
- Responsible for ensuring that a clean tidy and hazard free working environment is maintained to defined standards.
- Follow all lock out / tag out procedures.
- Ensure full and timely reporting of all major breakdowns significant problems repair requirements delays or machine down time to relevant personnel.
- Observes all company safety rules and regulations when performing work. Required to be knowledgeable of HSE standards and other occupational hazards.
- Works from equipment specifications drawings sketches and verbal instructions Maintain parts usage and repair logs.
- Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Time served apprenticeship with an electrical bias essential
- Electrical Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Electrical installation work on both single phase and 3 phase.
- Must have extensive experience solving and repairing electrical systems including PLC programs
- Knowledge of plastic moulding equipment is desired
- Must have excellent communication skills work in a team environment and the ability to train and provide guidance to others
- Experience working in a clean room environment would be preferred
- Licensed (or willing to gain license) to operate all types of MEWP vehicles.
- HNC/ONC or BTEC in Electrical Engineering
- 18th Edition Electrical Regulations
