Job Description
Required Education and Experience: High School diploma or GED. AND:
- 24 months experience in mailing/postal transportation.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to read and write
- Excellent driving record
- Basic computer and math skills
- Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information
Working Conditions:
- Physical: Ability to engage in repetitive motions. Loading and unloading heavy loads (up to 5O lbs.). Stooping bending standing and climbing often and for prolonged periods. Performing physically demanding labor.
- Environmental: Working in potentially hazardous conditions. Exposure to extreme temperatures and outdoor work in all seasons.
Certifications or Licenses:
- Valid Oklahoma Drivers License in order to drive University vehicles or ability to obtain within 30 days from hire date.

Picks up and delivers United States Postal Service (USPS) and interdepartmental and/or student mail.
- Picks up mail by utilizing a state owned motor vehicle.
- Delivers mail to various destinations.
- May make special mail runs as directed by the supervisor.
- Assists in preparation of special mailings.
- Maintains state owned motor vehicle to include but not limited to inspecting the vehicle for engine oil and brake pressure.
- Informs central mail supervisor of any deficiencies.
- Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.
