Job Summary

The Burlington Public Schools is seeking an energetic hardworking individual to add to the food service program. This is a permanent position for 15 hours a week (3 hours daily) reporting to the Director of Food Services and the Cafeteria Manager.

General responsibilities include the efficient operation of the kitchen in cooperation with the Manager and assisting the manager in the following functions:

  • Preparation and serving meals cleanup operations of kitchen and equipment
  • Monitor cash receipts and cashier as needed
  • Perform other duties as required by the Manager
  • Maintain sanitation and safety standards in accordance to ServSafe protocol

There is no experience necessary for the position and training is provided. Must be reliable flexible andenjoyworking in a team environment. Must be willing to be ServSafe trained. Must be able to follow all safety standards as well as lift and occasionally move up to 30 pounds.

Compensation: Starting rate is $20.55/hour

Location:MemorialElementary School

Hours:10:00am-1:00pm

Start Date: Position is available immediately
