Health and Safety Advisor - Dublin

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join our growing team and support civil engineering projects throughout the Dublin region. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring all operations on-site are compliant with health safety and environmental (HSE) legislation company policies and industry best practices.

This is an excellent opportunity for a safety professional with a strong civil engineering or construction background who thrives in a fast-paced site environment and values collaboration accountability and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and enforce compliance with health and safety regulations across multiple civil engineering sites

  • Conduct site inspections audits and risk assessments and ensure corrective actions are implemented

  • Provide guidance and support to site management and workers on all HSE matters

  • Deliver toolbox talks safety briefings and inductions for site personnel and subcontractors

  • Develop review and maintain safety documentation including RAMS safety statements and site-specific risk assessments

  • Investigate and report on accidents incidents near misses and non-compliances

  • Liaise with clients regulatory bodiesand internal teams regarding safety performance and audits

  • Promote a positive health & safety culture through engagement education and visibility on-site

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years experience in a Health & Safety Advisor role within civil engineering or construction

  • Relevant Health & Safety qualification

  • Strong knowledge of Irish health and safety legislation particularly in relation to civil works roadworks utilities and groundworks

  • Demonstrated experience working across multiple sites or large-scale infrastructure projects

  • Excellent communication interpersonal and organisational skills

  • Proficient in MS Office and reporting tools

  • Full clean Irish driving licence

  • Valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling certification
