Health and Safety Advisor - Dublin
About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join our growing team and support civil engineering projects throughout the Dublin region. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring all operations on-site are compliant with health safety and environmental (HSE) legislation company policies and industry best practices.
This is an excellent opportunity for a safety professional with a strong civil engineering or construction background who thrives in a fast-paced site environment and values collaboration accountability and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and enforce compliance with health and safety regulations across multiple civil engineering sites
Conduct site inspections audits and risk assessments and ensure corrective actions are implemented
Provide guidance and support to site management and workers on all HSE matters
Deliver toolbox talks safety briefings and inductions for site personnel and subcontractors
Develop review and maintain safety documentation including RAMS safety statements and site-specific risk assessments
Investigate and report on accidents incidents near misses and non-compliances
Liaise with clients regulatory bodiesand internal teams regarding safety performance and audits
Promote a positive health & safety culture through engagement education and visibility on-site
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices
Requirements
Minimum 3 years experience in a Health & Safety Advisor role within civil engineering or construction
Relevant Health & Safety qualification
Strong knowledge of Irish health and safety legislation particularly in relation to civil works roadworks utilities and groundworks
Demonstrated experience working across multiple sites or large-scale infrastructure projects
Excellent communication interpersonal and organisational skills
Proficient in MS Office and reporting tools
Full clean Irish driving licence
Valid Safe Pass and Manual Handling certification
