General Information:

The University Career Centers mission is to prepare and empower all students in every aspect of their career development.

We are seeking a First Destination Survey Outcomes Student Assistant to help collect data from recent graduates about where they ended up after JMU. The position requires in-person work 8 - 10 hours per week excluding breaks.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The FDS Outcomes Student Assistant will:
Call recent 2025 graduates to determine where they landed 6 months after graduation

Administer a 23-minute Outcomes Survey to graduates who answer the phone

Conduct LinkedIn profile searches to determine graduates destination

Schedule Advising appointments for students requesting UCC services

Assist in compiling emails to faculty/staff

Provide programmatic support during scheduled hours for UCC events such as Career Fairs

Qualifications:

A successful applicant should:
Be a current full-time JMU undergraduate student through Spring 2026.

Be available to work 8-10 hours a week during our business hours Monday-Friday 8 am - 5 pm

Be comfortable talking to recent graduates on the phone and conducting short surveys

Be detail-oriented organized positive and reliable.

Be able to work independently.

Have experience with Windows and Microsoft Office.

Be willing to learn new skills required to complete job responsibilities.

Conditions of Employment:

Students must be degree-seeking students enrolled on at least a half-time basis (6 credits for undergraduate and 5 credits for graduate).
