Job Description

Summary
Instruct students in STEM subjects aligned with the school curriculum. Provide support in fostering student engagement understanding and application of STEM concepts in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver instruction in STEM subjects based on established curriculum.

  • Support student learning through hands-on activities and guided practice.

  • Assist with preparing instructional materials and classroom activities.

  • Communicate effectively with students to ensure comprehension and engagement.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.

  • Two (2) years of experience working with youth

  • Associates degree (or higher) OR

  • Completion of an AZ Department of Education-approved Academic Assessment Test OR 60 semester-hour credits at an accredited institution (documentation required at hire)

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English with the ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience as a teacher aide

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish

Additional Requirements After Hire

  • FBI fingerprint background check

  • Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles) or proof of MMR immunization
