Job Summary
Dietitian
Inova Health is seeking Dietitians to join our expanding inpatient clinical nutrition team. We are looking for self-motivated registered dietitians that want to be part of a high performing team with a goal of providing world class nutrition care for every patient that we have the privilege to serve. Opportunities for full-time Day Shifts (40 hrs/week) Monday- Friday with rotating weekends and holidays. PRN position could cover patients at all Inova Hospitals allowing for up to 40 hours per week coverage if there is a coverage need.

Job Responsibilities:
- The Dietitian provides safe and therapeutic nutritional care in a comprehensive and systematic manner.
- Provides clinical services and acts as a resource to physicians nurses and other professional healthcare team members to provide patients with optimum nutritional care.
- Coordinates the nutrition care plan with the physician and other healthcare providers while serving as a resource in the integration of the nutrition care plan into the comprehensive plan of care for the patient.
- Formulates an individualized nutrition plan of care based on assessment findings and interpreting trends in patient populations to achieve best practice.
- Collects performance improvement data monitors outcomes and implements corrective actions.
- Recognizes trends in patient populations explores alternatives to care and makes revisions to standards.
- May perform additional duties as assigned.
Registered Dietitian Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors degree minimum if licensed before 1/1/2024; Dietitians registered after 1/1/2024 must hold a masters degree and aDietetic internship or equivalent
- Certification:
- Registered Dietitian (RD) requiredwithin 3 months of hire
- Basic Life Support from American Heart Association requiredwithin 3 months of hire
Preferred Qualifications:
- Inpatient experience
Dietitian Clinical Specialist Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors degree minimum if licensed before 1/1/2024; Dietitians registered after 1/1/2024 must hold a masters degree with an accredited Dietetic Internship.
- Certification:
- Registered Dietitian (RD) required upon start
- Basic Life Support from American Heart Association requiredwithin 3 Months of hire
