Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the laboratory and supervise Clinical Laboratory Scientists (CLS) and Lab Assistants.
- Ensure adherence to protocols and compliance with TJC CLIA DHS and other regulatory standards.
- Manage workload distribution staffing and scheduling for optimal workflow.
- Support laboratory testing functions across disciplines such as immunology microbiology genetics and biochemistry.
- Monitor performance provide coaching and foster team development.
- Partner with leadership to achieve operational and financial objectives.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelors degree in a related field.
- Active California CLS license.
- Minimum 3 years of clinical experience as a CLS.
- At least 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience in a laboratory setting.
Preferred:
- Masters degree in a related field.
- Acute-care hospital experience.
