Summary of Job Duties:
This position is located in Northwest Arkansas. We are seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) to play a vital role in patient care across multiple this role youll assist surgeons during clinic visits by organizing appointments and performing procedures as well as supporting the surgical team in the operating room. Your daily responsibilities will include answering pages rounding on post-operative patients and managing outpatient care by addressing telephone inquiries and prescribing medications. To excel in this role you must possess a high level of expertise in assessment diagnosis and treatment of both actual and potential patient problems ensuring comprehensive and compassionate care at every stage.

Masters Degree in Physician Assistant Studies
PA with State Medical Board
Current BLS certification or must successfully obtain certification within the first 30 days of employment.
Prescriptive authority and DEA license must be obtained after hire.

Key Responsibilities:
- Augmentation - The APN or PA will extend the patient care and administrative services of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences physicians.
- Consummate Professional - The APN or PA will be expected to provide comprehensive health assessments determine diagnoses implement treatment plans prescribe medical treatments and manage health issues for patients in collaboration with the designated physician(s).
- Collaborator - The APN or PA will work autonomously as well as in collaboration with a variety of individuals to diagnose and manage patients health care problems and will serve as a health care resource interdisciplinary consultant and patient advocate.
- Coordination - The APRN or PA will also coordinate the multidisciplinary care of patients facilitating all necessary consults assuring that care is timely and appropriate. Other duties may be assigned to this position.
- May perform other duties that may be assigned to this position. The APRN or PA will extend the patient care and administrative services of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences physicians.
- Customer Service: Interacts with and assists the public in a professional and friendly manner as needed. Demonstrates effective communication skills; communicates accurate and complete information; maintains strict confidentiality when necessary. Demonstrates positive working relationships with co-workers management team and ancillary departments; follows the Core Concepts of Patient and Family Centered Care and the Basic Code of Conduct Guidelines. Assist internal and external stakeholders as needed with exceptional customer service.
