Overview
Position: CT Technologist
Location: Cincinnati North
Schedule: Per Diem
SSH-Cincinnati North is a critical illness recovery hospital committed to providing world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronic critically ill patients who require extended healing and recovery. We help patients during some of the most vulnerable painful moments of their lives and every team member plays a central role in providing compassionate excellent care every step of the way.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the patient for diagnostic procedures by explaining the process and creating a comfortable environment.
- Use of proper patient positioning and technical factors to consistently produce quality diagnostic studies.
- Correctly operate a CT scanner to produce cross-sectional images of desired patient anatomy.
- Administer contrast media as directed by referring physician.
- Monitor the patient for any adverse drug events and report accordingly.
- Perform routine quality assurance on equipment and identify basic malfunctions.
- Perform clerical duties as needed such as answering phones.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least 2 years experience as a Registered Radiologic Technologist and hold current state license (as required).
- At least 1 year experience as a CT Technologist (not including school).
- Must have ARRT or CMRT certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Must be current with Continuing Education in all fields of licensure.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience operating facility-specific equipment desirable.
