The Impact Youll Make

As the Manager of Compound Management at Recursion you will be a pivotal leader in our mission to decode biology to radically improve lives. You will guide a team that serves as the foundation of our drug discovery platform managing our extensive inventory of compounds and reagents with meticulous attention to detail. Youll collaborate with our interdisciplinary teams of biologists engineers and data scientists to enhance and develop processes that drive efficiency and success. Your role will be instrumental in scaling our operations to support our ever-growing high-throughput screening capabilities.

In this role you will:

• Lead and mentor a team of compound management associates fostering a culture of collaboration growth and high performance.
• Develop and implement strategies for sample and reagent logistics inventory management and distribution to support our highly automated screening platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their needs and deliver solutions that accelerate our research and development pipelines.
• Drive the evaluation and implementation of new technologies and systems to improve the efficiency and quality of our sample management processes.
• Ensure data integrity and quality for all managed samples contributing to the robustness of our experimental data.
• Manage relationships with external vendors and partners to support our compound acquisition and management needs.

The Team Youll Join

You will be leading the Compound Management team a growing and collaborative group at the heart of Recursions discovery engine. This team is responsible for the critical task of provisioning drug candidates and reagents for our R&D laboratories working with state-of-the-art robotic platforms and laboratory automation. You will join a fast-paced and innovative environment where youll work on multiple projects simultaneously contributing directly to our mission of bringing new therapeutics to patients faster.

The Experience Youll Need

• Bachelors or advanced degree in Chemistry Life Sciences or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in compound management sample management or a related field in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
• 3 years of experience in a leadership or management role with a demonstrated ability to mentor and develop a team.
• Expertise with automated liquid handlers and other laboratory automation as well as LIMS or other sample management software. Strong preference for Cellario systems Mosaic LIMS and Hamilton Star liquid handlers.
• Excellent project management communication and collaboration skills.
• A passion for working in a fast-paced collaborative environment and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.

Working Location & Compensation:

This is an office-based position at our US headquarters located in Salt Lake City Utah. Employees are expected to work in the office 100% of the time.

At Recursion we believe that every employee should be compensated fairly. Based on the skill and level of experience required for this role the estimated current annual base range for this role is $118600 to $173000 (USD). You will also be eligible for an annual bonus and equity compensation as well as a comprehensive benefits package.
