Full Steam Staffing is seeking a Senior Logistics Manager for a large Food Distribution Center. This is an exciting opportunity to lead logistics operations and drive success across the West Coast region.

Pay: $72000 $76000 annually

Job Purpose: The Logistics Senior Manager is responsible for the management of all operations and Logistics for their respective DCs including market competitiveness pricing and channel strategies for their DCs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for the development and implementation of an aggressive service strategy and cost control plan of the business for entire operations

Coordinates with other company resources developing the strategic and tactical direction for all locations establish management processes and metrics for performance and be accountable for financial performance of the Logistics business.

Build a world-class team develop high-level service offerings motivate and lead a staff while increasing revenues and improving profitability through both Brokerage and Logistics.

P&L Management

Carrier Billing/Invoicing Process (Check and Balance)

Strong Negotiation Ability (Carrier Customer Margin Integrity)

Develop and execute business plan strategies for operations

Develop & manage KPIs for logistics

Food Sector experience (Perishables Frozen and Dry) Time Sensitive

Fleet/Carrier Management (50-100) Route Management Owner Operators Contract Carriers etc.

Performing special projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned by General Manager and other senior management for operations.

Work within company policy as outlined in the companies Code of Safe Practices Standard Operating Procedures and OSHA Safety rules

Perform other duties as assigned in both Logistics and brokerage

Minimum Requirements:

Strong leadership abilities in proven logistic field

Ability to build trust and confidence with management and supervision

Strategic thinking and leadership skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Able to work effectively in a fast paced changing environment ability to multi-task a must

Strong organizational skills and ability to work as a cross-functional team member.

Analytical skills with the ability to multi-task

Computer proficiency including Planner Power Point Word Excel Outlook Visio

Sense of urgency in order to deliver consistent service to the customer

Excellent communication skills at all levels

Basic to intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

High level of computer and TMW system literacy.

Education and/or Experience:

5 years progressive responsibility managing logistics Management and Development

BA Preferred or equivalent years of experience

Computer Skills:

Strong computer skills required; with knowledge in MS Office Excel and WMS system literacy
